This….is the face of an A.
This is from Wednesday (I know, long layover time, but what can I say, I’ve been SO busy!). On Wednesday I had a presentation for my Media Criticism class and I chose to do it over an analysis of Mean Girls from the Visual Perspective. I was sooooo nervous about it, you guys have no idea. Plus,to add more stress, I had just finished preparing my presentation that morning! But I confidently presented my work and, all glory to God, I got a 25/25! I was so happy. At any rate I wish I could show you guys my entire presentation look. I was quite cute if I do say so myself! But sadly I didn’t have time to get someone to take a full picture of me before I had to go off to work. I did get some makeup shots, though. Hope you guys like!

What do you guys think of this makeup look?
Yesterday was my university’s homecoming game! My bestie Philly and I tailgated and had a lot of fun in celebration and support of our Bearkats. Our school colors are orange, white, and blue. I want to show you guys how we chose to show a little gameday school spirit in our outfit choices without sacrificing fashion.
Necklace: Philly’s 🙂
Skinnies: Charlotte Russe
Gold Flats: Payless
T-shirt: School’s Welcome Week Tee
Shorts: Thrifted & DIY
I wish you guys could see Philly’s printed socks better, they really added even more oomph to the outfit as they sat pulled up just a bit above the combat boots. (Just envision it, cute right?)
& this is how we chose to show our school spirit.
What do you think of our outfits?
Next time you dress up for a school game or any kind of team spirited event, remember you don’t have to throw fashion to the wayside!
Until next time, XOXO JAZ’.
Today was a blazin’ hot day in the southern United States. I spent the majority of it inside filing papers and preparing for final exams (session 1 is almost over, yippeee!!). This is how I faired the weather today..
Gold Hoops: Beauty Supply – $2
Gray Tank: Old Navy – $9
Jean Shirt: Walmart – $10
Belt: Forever 21 – $8.80
Aztec Skirt: Forever 21
Sandals: Don’t remember – $9
The jean shirt was worn in the cold offices and classrooms that i spent much of my time in today. Outdoors, the jean element came straight off, otherwise i’d risk a heat stroke. This outfit is centered around the skirt. A touch of aztec never hurt anyone! &if you glance at this little aztec number, you’ll see I got a little mint in there too…trend bonus!
Until Next Time!
Doesn’t Marilyn look beautiful? Gotta Love Miss Monroe. And the style of swimsuits that were popular in her hay-day are making a major comeback in Summer 2012. Many designers are creating fashionable one pieces cut similar to the one she is wearing while others immolate the style in bikinis by using bandeau style halter bikini tops and high-waisted bottoms. The retro style is very complimentary to a curvy shape, accentuating curves without making them look bulbous or slutty and the extra fabric that comes in a swimsuit style like this does well to hide any major problem areas you might have. Retro style swimsuits are very chic and trendy right now and they are a great way to look fab while being comfortable in your own skin at the beach this season. Here are a couple of cute ones I’ve found.
I’m thinking of trying a retro swimsuit this season, what about you? Do you like them or do you think they are more granny than chic? Share your opinions in the comments below !
