Liquid Gold & Yoni Power : Goddess Body Yoni Oil Review

{Yoni: Sanskrit for vagina or womb. It is a sacred space & the source of all life }

image.png

Power to the Pussy! All Hail to the V!

The Yoni is both sacred & divine and should be treated as such for maximum health & joy. This power-packed organ is highly resilient, but also sensitive, and must be properly cared for to flourish at its full capacity.

I am very careful what I allow on or in my Yoni. I eat healthily, I do not wear tampons, I wear yoni eggs for spiritual & physical yoni maintenance, and I’m sure to do my kegals to keep my yoni operating in its proper perfection.

As stringent as I am a about what goes near my sacred space, you know that any product I use down there must be to a high standard. And Goddess Body Yoni Oil is so quality it not only meets but, dare I say, exceeds this standard.

{Yoni Oil: A combination of 100% natural herbs & oils that provide preventative maintenance & ultimate feminine healing}

image

Benefits:

Anti microbial
Restores balance to feminine pH
Strengthens vaginal muscles
Regulates feminine cycles
Increases natural lubrication
Prevents excess of bacteria & rids infection

Usage: This oil can be used externally or internally for daily maintenance & minor infections.

-daily maintenance- using your fingers, apply 1/2 – 1 teaspoon internally via the vaginal opening as well as on the vulva. Apply right after your bath or shower, or as needed.
-minor infections- apply internally to the vaginal opening as well as externally on the vulva 2-3 times a day until the infection no longer persists. A sterile syringe or dropped may be used.

It also makes a great lubricant & massage oil.

I have been using this product for the past year now and I swear by it. Not only does it smell beyond delicious, but it does all it boasts! I have a very regulated menstrual cycle that operates like clockwork. I also used to have much more painful periods. Thanks to this liquid gold, now my menstrual cycle is practically painless. My vaginal walls are strong & tight. Natural lubrication is no problem, as she is the juiciest of fruit. Goddess Body’s Yoni Oil definitely amplifies my divine feminine essence by keeping my yoni running in exquisite perfection.

P.S. With its perfect consistency and anti microbial properties, I also find use for yoni oil as a sealant on my facial skin and in small quantities mixed into a homemade spray for my scalp. This stuff is amazing!

Visit GoddessBody to get your yoni popping on some of this liquid gold!

Goddess Rising Facial Appreciation

Hello My Lovelies!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know Triiinity & I are in the midst of our Goddess Rising Yoga Challenge! It’s been a blast growing in love & light with my fellow Goddesses and I know we shall continue to grow and ascend in positivity and self-love together. For Day 10 of the challenge, our self-loving task was to give yourself a facial. So I wanted to share my facial process with you all.

Ingredients :
Urban Oreganics Facial Mask (100% vegan)
Honey
Instant Coffee
Water

image image

SN: Did you know honey & coffee are both naturally occurring substances that are good for your skin? Coffee has anti-aging properties as it tightens and tones the skin while mutually stimulating the skin, bringing increased circulation. Honey is humectant, so it is perfect for bringing natural moisturization. It also has anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal properties that are perfect for fighting acne. You can mix these ingredients without the use of a store bought facial mask or in addition to one and follow the steps below for amazing skin benefits!

Step 1: Mix Ingredients
{stir until mixture becomes a fine paste}

Step 2: Apply Mixture
{It is best to do this while laying down, over a towel to avoid any drippy carnage. Feel free to use your hands for application but I found this application best done with a utensil liken to a Popsicle stick shape. So a mixing stick or even the flat side of a butter knife would work fine to apply the proper spreading. I like it best when I apply a coating, let it dry for a minute or two, and then go back and apply another for a nice thick facial layer.}

Step 3: Wear Facial
{Relax and let the properties take hold. I recommend you let the mixture sit on your face for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing, for maximum benefits.}

imageimageimage

Step 4: Rinse

{Rinse mixture away with warm water. Then rinse with cool to lock the amazing effects into your pores}

Step 5: Moisturize & Enjoy Your Glow!
{Seal your skin with a light moisturizer. Enjoy the glowing effects of your after-facial radiance!}

Goddess Body Cleanse Review

review

Hello Gods & Goddesses

I am coming to you lovelies today with the long-awaited review of the Goddess Body TeaTox Cleanse.

Last month Triiin and I did the Goddess Body Cleanse, which was created by Angela Elizabeth. This teatox contained three teas: The Mind & Spirit Herbal Blend, The Healthy Yoni Herbal Blend, & The Cleansing Herbal Blend. It also contained Belly Buster Botanicals that can be added to any beverage. The cleanse called for us to ingest these three teas daily, while also eating a mostly raw/vegan diet.

The Mind & Spirit Herbal Blend is consumed in the morning. The Healthy Yoni Herbal Blend, midday. And the Cleansing Herbal Blend at night.

tea

I will be honest. This cleanse was no easy feat for me at first. I like a lot of variety in my diet and I started off the cleanse quite bored by the raw foods I had access to. This was due largely in part that we had not had time to grocery shop just yet. Being busy, makes it harder than you think to drink 3 teas a day, even as an avid tea drinker such as myself. We managed though. Also, I think the first week is when the most major detoxing has to take place, as your body accepts the effects of these herbs and acclimates to a new diet. However, a body rejecting toxins is not its most comfortable.

Once we got past the week one woes, it got a lot easier to keep pushing. We stocked up on fruits and veggies, nuts and granola, and started putting our creative fusion on our meals again. We marinated mushrooms for the first time, which was quite nice. We got better with pre-brewing the teas, so they would be ready and available on those busier days when stopping to brew simply would not be possible. We also got better with creative ways to consistently ingest the teas and our raw foods, in general. One of the best combinative efforts of this was the TeaTox smoothies we began concocting. We could fill them with delicious fresh fruits and tasty teas to effectively fulfill both of our requirements.

Now certain effects I cannot personally attest to (such as those related to menopause, fibroids, endometriosis, etc.) because these are not ailments I am, myself, afflicted by. However, I definitely experienced the other effects this cleanse boasts. During the cleanse, I had a completely painless menstrual cycle. Completely painless. This is partially due to Goddess Body’s Yoni Oil which I have been using consistently for a year now (review coming soon on that liquid gold), but used in tandem with this cleanse, my feminine power could overcome any malady. I also found myself needing to sleep less as a whole. I had energy all day, energy all night, and I could easily subsist on 4 hours of sleep like it had been 8. I’m not an avid consumer of junk but I also found myself craving even less junk then before. Whenever I wanted something sweet, the craving was easily satiated by fruit. I work at a children’s establishment and during the time of the cleanse, with the season change, something was going around. However, with the cleanse and proper diet on my side, I was able to prevent falling victim to the circling illness.

One complaint with this mostly raw diet is that it is a LOT of snacking. Healthy snacking, but still. Loving to cook as I do, I like preparing, then sitting down to eat a home cooked meal. When we had opportunities to throw in the vegan dishes in our arsenal, we were more than pleased.

Doing the Goddess Body Cleanse reminded me of one very important thing: Listen to your body in the many ways it speaks. It will tell you what it needs.

Be discerning of the effects of what you ingest and don’t chalk up not-so-good observations up to coincidence.

I have been a Pescetarian for two years and eat quite healthily in general. As a result of this cleanse, I have learned first hand the sustainability of a vegan diet (though raw eating as a dietary plan is something I would be more likely to do in stints.) In the true spirit of listening to what my body needs, I have decided to adopt a dietary philosophy my Goddess-friend Aeon calls “Flexitarian”. It comes down to this. In many cases, labels are for others. To identify yourself to outsiders, or as a member of a particular group. Not that, that is a bad thing per se, but I am a person who likes to make lifestyle changes and I like to give myself the best chance to do so. Jumping to fit the societal label system, in this case, will not promote that kind of stable change for me. I know I am not quite ready to make that jump to Vegan (and I promised Triiin a trip to my hometown, New Orleans before we give up seafood for good, so that has to happen.) I also don’t think I could ever permanently give up traditional baked goods. But I do see that the vegan lifestyle is the healthiest sustainable lifestyle for human beings. I see the hydration, vitality, and nourishment vegan eating provides & how things like dairy and eggs are not necessary to our diet. I have become privy to how my body interacts with these things in my temple, versus only vegan things. I’d never had this problem before (or perhaps never really noticed it) but, I’ve begun to develop lactose intolerance to an undesirable degree (Which makes perfect sense when you really ponder the thought of an adult human drinking milk intended for baby cows). I’ve never been a huge fan of drinking milk at all, but after this cleanse even milk products have this effect now. I may not be ready to make a permanent jump to Vegan, but now that I have this knowledge, tested against my own body chemistry, I will do my best with what I have acquired. I know my body and I am growing in that knowingness everyday. I know my goals. This aptly named philosophy will allow me to go with the flow of what my soul sees fit at the time. I will remain accountable for what is best for my health and let that evolve in the ways and timings the Universe sees fit to guide me,

As of now my plan is to technically be a pescetarian who eats mostly vegetarian with vegan emphasis. Does that sound like a mish-mosh of confusion or what? Like should we try to say it three times fast or….?lol

Its actually not all that confusing to me. I’m simply planning to 1) Limit my seafood intake as much as possible.(attempting not to exceed 3 times/meals a week.)  2) Limit my dairy intake as much as possible (NEVER drink milk, some allowances will be made but cook with milk product as little as possible) 3) Limit egg consumption (Egg used the creation of something is fine (noodles, baked goods, etc.), but ingest eggs in their form no more than twice a week) . Drink lots of water. Eat lots of veggies. Incorporate more and more vegan things.

Now even with these stipulations, I have eaten even less of these things than I have allowed room for. I haven’t had eggs in weeks and I have even started shying away from cheese (one of my favorite guilty pleasures) more & more. I will stay in avid communication to my body and listen to what it needs to function at its highest degree. Lets see where this flexitarian diet takes me next!

Its May 1st and our 28 day Goddess Body Tea Cleanse is now done! Feeling pretty accomplished and happy about that fact. Smoothies we’re a great asset in maintaining the mostly raw/vegan diet associated with this cleanse. They also we’re a delicious versatile way to incorporate the daily teas. I learned a bit about my body and listening to what it needs. And I learned, firsthand, just how realistically possible and beneficial it is to eat vegan. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to document as much of the cleanse as I would’ve liked since, after the 1st week, I cracked the screen on my phone and it was out of commission for weeks. However, I will be doing a review of the Goddess Body Cleanse soon. In the review I will share my experiences with this cleanse, my fave foods and recipes during the cleanse, and cleanse benefits. Stay tuned lovely lovers!

Spiritual Sundays: Sun Salutations

Greetings Spiiirits!

So as many of you may, or may not, already know…I practice yoga. I am self-taught and definitely somewhere between beginner and intermediate, but I am forever increasing in knowledge and skill daily. 🙂

Yoga is such an amazing practice, for your mind, body, and spirit. It has numerous positive effects on all areas of your being, helping you to become more balanced in every regard. Each pose not only targets a certain area of focus physically, but also has history and spiritual implications tied along with it as well. It is important to be aware of the spiritual connections to each motion as a means of setting your intention for each step of your practice, and thereby getting the full benefit of the poses.

Which leads me to the Sun Salutation. Its more or less a sequence of poses and, though done by those at all levels, it is vastly popular among many beginner yogis. Rightfully so, as it is a delicious mind, body, & spirit warm-up and pretty do-able for those at any level. As I said before, it is important to a full and proper practice, to know the history and spiritual importance of each pose/sequence you do. Being as though the Sun Salutation is so popular and perfect for beginner yogis, I think its a marvelous place to start in making sure we are fully informed. So here’s a little info and I hope it proves useful! ❤

THE SUN SALUTATION

The original Hindu name is Surya Namaskar, Surya meaning “the sun” and Namaskar coming from the root word namas which means “to bow or “to adore”.

Hindus have revered the Sun for thousands of years. They see the Sun as the physical and spiritual heart of our world and the creator of all life itself….an image of, and pathway to the divine.

The sequence begins and ends with a mudra (joined-hands) at the heart center. This is no coincidence as the Hindus see the heart as our own “inner sun”, the seat of our consciousness and higher wisdom. The mind can be corrupted by viparyaya (misconception), but only the heart can know the truth.

The sequence consists of the following basic poses (but poses can be varied for increased difficulty): Mountain Pose, Upward Salute, Forward Fold, Lunge, Plank Pose, Four-Limbed Staff Pose, Cobra Pose, Downward Dog

…ending back in Mountain Pose with hands joined over heart center.

Here’s a video that shows a good visual example of the Sun Salutation in action.

If you practice yoga or are planning to start practicing yoga, I would definitely suggest doing Sun Salutations and taking this knowledge into your practice! I don’t know about you guys, but doing the sequence with this information in mind, definitely makes me feel even more connected and inspired, in motion.

The Sun is within you, spiiirits, and so is the truth!

Body of a Goddess: Goddess Body Wellness

Greetings, Dear Spiiirits!

Those of you who follow me on my various social media know that I have been promising a review on the holistic products Triiin & I received from Goddess Body! Now the time has finally come for me to give you guys my full and honest assessment.

But first a little intro to Goddess Body…

Goddess Body Wellness is a brand of holistic health & beauty products created by Goddess Angela Elizabeth. Angela Elizabeth is a Master Herbalist, Holistic Health Practitioner, & Spiritual Advisor with a Masters of Science in Biology. Through her Goddess Body brand, she offers herbal teas & remedies, natural skin & haircare products, plant based nutrition and holistic health regimens.

True to her holistic roots, her products are all-natural, vegan products.

photo3

The Goddess Body products that were sent into our home by the lovely Angela Elizabeth were the CAS Toning Balm & the Yoni Oil.

gb1 gb2

CAS Toning Balm: The CAS Toning Balm is a blend that clears and smooths skin, targeting cellulite, fatty deposits. The CAS in name stands for Coffee, Aloe, & Shea. The topical caffeine from the coffee widens blood vessels, improving circulation and the removal of toxins, fluid, and fat. Aloe is renown for its amazing skin moisturizing, tightening, and regenerative properties. Vitamin A & E dense shea butter is a superb moisturizer with healing properties for skin and hair. So knowing that these are the 3 main ingredients, you already know that this concoction is primed for greatness…and it did not disappoint! The product is packaged into a glass container. You get a pretty sizable amount of product, especially when you take into account the consistency which is thick but spreads easily (and doesn’t take a lot of product to cover a pretty good amount of space). The balm smells delicious giving the wearer a light citrus scent. Due to all the natural oils, the balm is oily on your skin if over applied, so be careful (but like I said you don’t need too much). Immediately after application, my skin felt soft and supple and remained that way throughout the entire day. After no more than a week of using this product daily, I noticed an increased natural sheen and glow to my skin. This amplified natural sheen and glow remained even on days when I skipped using the product. Though I don’t have a ton of marks and blemishes, I did notice the marks I do have begin to substantially lighten to blend more and more with my skin. I absolutely love this balm!

Yoni Oil: Yoni is the Sanskrit word for Divine Passage, Vagina, Womb, Sacred Temple…you get the picture. It’s our blessed and sacred lady bits, Goddesses, and yoni oil is a prime holistic asset for keeping the precious vagina working to Goddess-standard. Yoni oil contains a combination of oils such as tea tree oil and neem oil as well as delicious herbs lemongrass and sage. These oils and herbs (as well as the numerous others present in the blend) combine to create the perfect potion for feminine yoni health. The oil has the capability to restore balance, acting as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal antidote. The combo also strengthens and tones the vaginal walls while encouraging healthy lubrication as well. It also can be used as a healthy natural lube, itself. With daily application, I observed a notable increase in the lubrication and strength of my own yoni since beginning to use this oil back in May. I feel that the increase in vaginal strength has caused my menstrual cycle to complete more quickly (since I can expel more at once). The oil, as well as healthy eating practices, has also decreased to the number of painful days in my cycle to one. Lastly it has a delicious lemongrass-y scent and can be effectively used on, not only your yoni, but your skin & hair as well. I haven’t actually tried the oil on my hair yet, but the anti-bacterial properties work wonderfully on skin (especially when a pimple surfaces up! It’ll get rid of that sucker in a flash). Triiin has pretty sensitive face skin when it comes to which products she can use and she swears by this oil for her face! This is definitely a new staple product in our lives.

These worked out so phenomenally, I can’t wait to try more Goddess Body products! I’d definitely recommend the CAS Toning Balm and the Yoni Oil to any woman ready to channel her inner Goddess! (Plus the holistic products are universally good for skin and hair, so men you can use them too!)

Spiritual Sundays: How to Meditate (5 Easy Steps)

Greetings & Happy Sunday, Spiiirits!

meditationblogAT

Meditation is a vital component for self-awareness and spiritual growth. The practice of meditation brings with it not only spiritual benefits, but mental and physical benefits as well. After educating myself on meditation and its many benefits, as well as beginning to experience some of the benefits myself, I believe meditation should be practiced by every human being on the planet, daily, in some shape or form. This would be beneficial, not only for each individual, but for all mankind collectively.

Many stray away from meditating because they don’t have a complete idea of what it is or how to do it. And we can all agree that Mother Culture has taught us to fear what we do not know/understand. But meditation should not be something we remain in the dark about any longer. And it should be something everyone knows how to do.

Feeling as such, I have decided to compile a basic how-to guide to meditation. Nothing too stressful, a couple of quick steps…so easy a caveman could do it! 😀

Step 1 – Find Your Meditation Location. Find a private spot where you feel safe and comfortable. The spot should be quiet and free from external distractions. This can range from a bedroom, a bathroom, a closet, a spot in your backyard, etc. just anywhere where you can create a comfortable, quiet, uninterrupted moment for yourself.

Step 2 – Get Comfortable. Once you have secured your meditation location, find a spot and get comfy. You may sit in a chair or on the floor. You may also lie down, though it is easier to accidentally fall asleep this way. Just choose the position that is most comfortable for you. But be sure that, no matter how you choose to sit, you keep your posture upright as to properly facilitate the flow of energy. Make sure to clear the exact spot where you plan to meditate of any clutter. Many people use crystals to amplify their meditative sessions. If you have crystals or some other object pertaining to the meditation, it is fine to keep those near you. Also, if you become uncomfortable at any later point in the meditation you can mildly maneuver. However, for best results, movement should be kept to a minimum.

Step 3 – Decide the Time Frame. Once you begin the act of meditating, it is easy for time to pass without you being aware how much of it has gone by. While some may just let the meditation lead them and just get up whenever they feel “done”, this may not be the  best move for a beginner. You also don’t want to find yourself inclined to think about time at all during the act of meditation, as this may just make you figity, and bring stress that draws attention away from your meditation. The best way to avoid this is to predetermine a time limit. This can be done by setting a timer or alarm. 30 minutes is a good amount of time to meditate, though you should feel free to do more or less. Guided meditations are another good way to decide the time frame of your meditation, but more on that later.

Step 4- Breathe & Observe. Close your eyes.  Now its time to get into the groove of actual meditation. Take deep breaths, fully inhaling and fully exhaling. Now begin to clear your mind. You can do this by focusing on your breaths or by counting to 100 in your mind as you continue to breathe. Thoughts will come during this time, but it is your job not to engage with any of these thoughts. You are to separate yourself from the thoughts, simply becoming a passive observer of them. It is important in this moment not to classify the thoughts that come as good or bad, or really respond to the thought in anyway. Don’t delve into the thought, don’t analyze it. Simply observe the thought as it passes and then send it away.

Step 5 – |END| Return to the Physical Realm. The alarm (or whatever timer you have put in place) sounds, signaling that the time has come to draw your meditation to a close. DO NOT just bounce up hurriedly. Slowly ease into the physical state of being. Start off by mentally becoming aware, again, of where you are physically. Next become aware of your physical body. Wiggle your toes, yawn, stretch. Then slowly open your eyes and re-accustom to your surroundings. It is important to do this because shifting modes too rapidly can be discombobulating. However this whole process need not take longer than one minute. Now you can get up, move about, and carry on with your day! Some people, alternatively, choose to remain in their spot and reflect upon the meditation or send silent gratitude into the Universe. This is perfectly fine as well. Go with how you feel! (which after a meditation, is usually GRRREEEAAAATTTT! 😉 )

***Quick Tip***- I mentioned guided meditations in step 3. Guided meditations are a great tool for beginners! (and pros, alike, if you ask me). They are perfect for giving those who have trouble clearing their mind, on their own, something to focus on. There are also guided meditations that cater to specific areas (such as balance, prosperity, healing, etc.). And with guided meditations ranging from as short as 10 minutes to as long as 2 hours, they can be perfect for deciding the time frame for how long you want to meditate, as well as what aspects of your being you are primarily want to focus on in each session.

Hope these tips prove helpful to you guys. Happy Meditating, Spiiirits!
