Soap Free Face Routine

Here’s a million dollar question : How do your wash your face… with NO soap?

Faced with skin stripping soaps and a pressing question, Triiinity was determined to solve the riddle. We already opted for mild soaps and natural/well sourced soaps but even those can be a overly stripping of the natural oils in delicate face skin. They were even beginning to cause Triiini small dry patches and we couldn’t have that. So thus began the journey to find a gentler, more natural face washing method. After lengthy research and experimentation, we came to a combination and established a face routine that I plan to keep for a while to come.

Tools Needed:

Bentonite Clay

Honey

Apple Cider Vinegar

Face Pads/ Cotton pads

Natural oil

What to do?

Step 1: Bring bentonite clay and honey into a viscous paste like mixture {you may use a bowl or just mix it in your hand. For this I like to use Garner’s Garden Bentonite Clay. More honey than bentonite clay will give you the best ratio of ingredients to allow for proper spreading}

Step 2: Open your facial pores using a hot towel

Step 3: Spread mixture all over your face, massaging as you spread & allow it to sit {2 to 5 minutes is more than sufficient, though if you decide to let it sit longer it won’t hurt}

Step 4: Rinse with warm water until face is fully free of substance.

Step 5: Use cotton face pad to apply apple cider vinegar to your face {this step closes your pores while adding the skin benefits of acv}

Step 6: Finish by applying a dime sized amount of natural oil to your face. {I use a homemade mixture of coconut oil, olive oil, & rosemary} . Let the oil soak in before applying any makeup.

Honey, Bentonite Clay, & ACV are 100% natural ingredients with natural detoxifying effects and amazing skin benefits! Together they make the perfect facial cleanser. Keeping the skin at the proper oil balance {especially using oils that boasts their own skin benefits} aids in anti aging effects, so once youve applied your natural oil…you’re unstoppable!

In the past few months of doing this routine, I have seen such an increase in the quality & lusterous smoothness of my skin. It’s always glowing & it feels like I’ve snapped every pore into prime position! Now I might look like a monster every morning when I was my face, but the end result is well worth it.

Raving Saturday

Hello my dears!

On Saturday I had my very 1st rave experience thanks to my best friend Philly :). We went to a rave club called Kryptonite and had tons of fun. Everyone was extremely nice and social, I even got painted! The whole evening was tons of fun and something I would definitely do again.

Philly gave me a little guidance on the look I should go for to be ‘rave appropriate’  and I’d like to share the outcome with you guys. Its a little hard to see our outfits in most of these shots ( we were a little too focused on having fun to take better pictures, sorry :/) but hopefully you see enough of our makeup and clothing to get a general idea of the look….ENJOY!

Check out the glow paint, GAHHH i love it!

My Outfit

Black Corset – Philly’s

Black Tights

Black Over-The-Knee Boots – Payless

Spiked Collar – borrowed

My Hair

Stretched Out Fro

(from old shrunken twist out that had been previously ponytailed)

My Makeup

Eyebrows – NYC Eyebrow Pencil in Midnight Brown

Concealer – NYC in 786 light (used to define brows and as a primer)

Eyeshadow – Coastal Scents 88 Palette (3 different purples and 1 gray, 1 white, 1 black)

Eyeliner- NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Mascara – NYC Instant Lash in Black

Lipliner – NYC Eyebrow Pencil in Midnight Brown

Lipstick – NK Black Orchid 302

Philly’s green eyeshadow also comes from the Coastal Scents 88 palette, but her makeup is a combination of that and her own eyeshadows, lipstick, lip pencils, etc, etc…you get the picture. (I wish I could tell you everything she used, but I cannot, I apologize). But i can tell you, she got that wonderful deep berry lipshade by using a black eyeliner pencil and her burgundy lipshade on top. Creativity for the WIN!

What do you guys think of our rave looks? Tell me the kind of stuff you’d wear to a rave!

Until Next Time

XOXO Jaz’.
