June Wishlist !

Hi guys, I wanna share with you all some things I’m really wishing I had my paws on this month:

Jeffery Campbell Night Walk Pumps

I adore these ! Especially in this mint color that is oh-so hot for the season right now. I could just see myself wearing these with an LBD out on the town one party-ful night. *sigh* dare to dream. They can be found on Solestruck.com for $169.95 and they are to die for in pink, also. One of these days…

 Sparkle Polish

I am SUCH a fan of the glittery sparkle nail right now! The last time I did my nails I did them in pink sparkles and I love, love, loved the outcome. I think the next I wanna try is all silver sparkle…we shall see.

Maxi Dresses

Ahhh maxi dresses, ill take one in every color (and pattern) please ! You can never have enough of ’em, especially the racerback style…so relaxed and cute at the same time. LOVE!

Ombre’ Hair

Its still something I have been dying to try! Its sadly not in the budget right now though, which leads me to my next wish…

Money, money, money !

Infinite amounts of cash would be ever so clutch right now! Especially because lately I have had the incessant yearning to shop till I drop, a yearning I have had to reluctantly deny as a woman on a strict budget. Oh how I wish I could spend spend spend with no regard to the responsibilites of life. But sadly this is not so, especially this month. One day my bags of money will come…one day. Maybe i’ll marry rich *shrugs*.

Lastly but not least I am wishing for…

DEATH TO ALL CRICKETS!!!!

Okay before you think, she has gone off the deep end and this has nothing to do with fashion at all, I’m gonna just tell you…you’re right. But I just HAVE to share this story with you guys.*WARNING: A RANT WILL ENSUE* Okay, so I wake up yesterday morning a bit earlier than normal because I planned to shower and get ready then do a little reading before work and class. So its 7 in the morning and I’m just showering it up and what do I see when I look over at the sponge on the corner of my tub, but a ugly little cricket! Ewwwwwww!!!! I froze at first sight but then cut off the water and got out as I thought of a plan. Let me just let yall know that I HATE bugs. &one that hops AND flies???? A definite recipe for disaster, so my plan was to take two large cups and douse it so I could ring it down my tub. I do this and just as the cricket is about to go down the hole and away from me forever my stopper closes right in the way. AMAZING. Just my luck. So after freaking out some more I regroup and try to drown it with hot water. THAT didnt even work, because amazingly the stopper closed just enough to not let the cricket go down, but to let the water drain out. Ultimately I had to end up calling a friend of mine to kill it, with only minutes to spare before work. And to make matters worse I kept seeing crickets, dead and alive, all day. They were following me!!!! Yuck. I just want them all to die, even down to Jiminy. Yup, thats right I said it.

Okay….Rant. Over.

Well these are the things I deeply desire this month, what’s some things on you guys wishlist??? Let me know!

Until Next Time!!

OOTN: Cobalt, Black, & Kickback

Hola chicas (and chicos if your reading, shoutout to you) ! I’m here with an Outfit of the Night for you guys. It was yesterday, June 8th and I guess I was in a really striped-mood yesterday (given what i was wearing earlier that day). The occasion was a kickback/house party of sorts, for a friend of mines birthday. I wanted to look spruced up, but not overly dressy or clubby to be just sitting in someone’s house. So this is what I chose…

ImageImageImageImageImage

Striped Dress (worn as a top): Forever 21 – $19.80

Chain Necklace: Forever 21 – $7.80

Ring: Forever 21 – $6.80

Belt: Forever 21 – $8.80

Bubble Skirt: Forever 21 – $11.80

Sandals: Don’t remember – $9

Purse: Charlotte Russe – $9

(whoa, just realized exactly how much of this outfit came from forever 21, yowzers!)

This look could have been made more downtown-club scene ready by adding heels, wearing the strapless top as the dress it really is, or wearing a bold lip. However, for the type of event I was attending, I feel like this combination was just right.

What do you guys think? Like it? Hate it? Let me know in the comments below.

Until Next Time!

Trendspotting : Neon

Color will always be a big trend for the Spring and Summer months. Its only right, as the weather brightens up, so does our wardrobe ! As we segue from Spring to Summer one big color trend that’s emerging is Neon. Whether its on a bag or boldly slathered on our nails, Neon is a must-have in our fashion arsenal. Here are a few items on my neon-wishlist for the season :

Image

These bold pink “South of 5th” sunnies from Urban Outfitters are perfect for the season! Wear them with any outfit for a bit of neon flare. They run about $16 and they are cat-eye glasses, a trend bonus!

Taking summer school maybe? I am, and Lord knows I will need a way to carry around my books. I could just use one of the handy shoulder bags I already own (that’s probably what i’ll actually do), but in my fashion fantasy land I’m walking around the campus with this baby on my back. I’m not too often a fan of backpacks, but this one screams chic.On sale for $29.99, this Baggu Neon Backpack can be purchased on fredflare.com. Lastly this bag was made from 100% recycled cotton canvas, an environmental plus!

With its sassy cut and neon accents, this dress has just the right amount of spice. Perfect for a night out, it’s $29.90 and can be found on windsorstore.com

Neon polish, oh yeahh! Probably the cheapest way to sport the neon trend, this nail polish and others like it only run about $4 and can be found in drugstores and your local Walmarts’ and Targets. I will definitely be getting some and putting it into effect ASAP!

Have a little fun with neon yourselves!

Patterns for Spring !

Spring is Here!!!! *Yayyyyy* and these are the patterns & prints I am loving for embracing this season

Stripes

This pattern is perfect for Spring. It’s part of the nautical trend that is becoming very popular right now. Stripes are very versatile. They can be used for a more polished streamlined style or a fun carefree look, depending on how you dress them. Another bonus for stripes is that they can flatter your body shape. If you want to make your body look slimmer opt for thinner, vertical stripes. For my girls with less curves than they desire, you can wear thicker, horizontal stripes to make you look wider in certain areas. Try a striped maxi dress like the one above from forever21.com. Its only $14.80.

Polka Dots

Polka dots are just fun fun fun! This print is definitely a must have for spring, especially when it comes in pastel colors. The oversized top pictured above is from acidlace.com, a vintage site based in the UK. It is priced for 15euros and would look great with high-waisted white shorts or a pair of tights.

Aztec

Aztec print is definitely a spring print for my ladies with funkier style. The tribal-inspired print usually brings together a variety of colors and geometric shapes to create something that is eclectic and stylish. For instance this beautiful Aztec scarf from thestellarboutique.com. It is 14euros and features a series of bold colors that come together in a way that is somehow cohesive and chic. That’s the beauty of Aztec!

Lace

Lace is a pattern that is really in for any season, but in bright colors is especially fab for spring. The breathable material gives a flirty, girly edge to any outfit and when worn correctly, is a perfect testament to the light-brightness of springtime. Check out the yellow lace shorts above, aren’t they to die for? They would be perfect paired with a white cami, a denim vest, and a statement necklace. Oh yeahhh.

Floral

Last but not least an obvious choice for spring, floral print! In this season, flowers are blooming and the world is coming to life again; what wonderful inspiration for fashion. For springtime, I definitely recommend florals with pastel color schemes, however the more it warms up, the more tropical you can get with the colors and shapes of your florals. The floral chiffon tank blouse pictured above is from chictopia.com and is $38.00. The black gives an edgier take on springtime but the colors of the flowers keep the outfit bright and right for the season.

Which is your favorite of these prints? Vote below!

Until Next Time!
